Benny the Bee and the Forgotten Flower – Let’s Read
Once there was sunny meadow filled with colourful flowers, where lived a little beautiful bee named Benny.
Benny was a cheerful bee, always buzzing around, collecting nectar, and helping flowers bloom.
He was proud of his work because he knew that he was helping the flowers and trees grow and the meadow thrive.
One sunny morning, as Benny was collecting nectar, he noticed a small, wilting flower by a quiet corner of the meadow.
Its petals were faded, and it seemed very lonely. Feeling sorry for the poor flower.
Benny flew down and said, “Hello there! You look a little sad. Do you need some help?”
The flower sighed, “Yes, I do.
I don’t get much sunlight here, and the other flowers are so much taller than me. No one notices me, and I feel forgotten.”
Benny’s heart ached for the little flower. “Don’t worry!” he promised.
“I’ll bring you nectar every day, and I’ll tell all the other bees to visit you too. Soon you’ll bloom beautifully, just like everyone else.”

The flower’s face brightened a little. “Thank you, Benny. That would mean the world to me.”
And so, Benny kept his promise. Each day, he brought the little flower fresh nectar and encouraged his friends to visit her.
The flower started growing stronger, her petals brightened, and soon she was blooming with colours that shone in the sunlight.
But one day, Benny got very busy in another part of the meadow.
There were new flowers there, and they were bright and fragrant, so he spent more time collecting nectar from them.
Days turned into weeks, and Benny forgot about the little flower in the corner of the meadow.
The little flower, waiting patiently, began to wilt again.
She felt lonelier than ever, wondering why Benny had forgotten her after all he had promised.
Finally, a gentle breeze whispered to Benny as he was buzzing by, “Remember your promise, Benny?”
The words stopped Benny in his tracks. He suddenly remembered the little flower and felt a pang of guilt.
Without wasting another second, he flew back to her corner of the meadow. There, he found the flower, tired and drooping.
“Oh, I’m so sorry!” Benny cried. “I got so busy that I forgot about you. I promised I would be there for you, and I didn’t keep my word.”
Quote of the Day
True friendship is a promise we keep, even when the world distracts us.
The little flower managed a small smile. “It’s okay, Benny. I know there are many flowers in the meadow that need you.”
But Benny felt determined to make things right.
From that day on, he made sure to visit her every day, even if it was just for a moment.
Over time, the flower bloomed again, brighter than ever, and Benny learned the importance of keeping a promise.
