The Fairy and the Sun – Let’s Read
Once upon a time, in a shimmering lake surrounded by tall, whispering trees, there lived a delicate fairy named Lira.
Lira was an Asrai, a magical creature who danced gracefully beneath the water’s surface.
Her skin sparkled like the morning dew, and her long, flowing hair swayed like seaweed in the gentle currents.
Lira loved her home in the lake, where she played with her friends, the fish, and listened to the songs of the frogs.
But there was one thing Lira feared more than anything else: the sunlight. You see, Asrai were very sensitive to the sun. If they ever came into its bright rays, they would melt away like ice on a warm day.
One sunny morning, Lira peeked out from her underwater world. The sun was shining brightly, and the lake sparkled like a million tiny stars.
Lira’s friends, the fish, were swimming near the surface, and they looked so happy. Lira felt a tug in her heart. She wanted to join them, just for a moment.
“Just a quick peek,” she whispered to herself. “I’ll be careful!”
With a flutter of her delicate wings, Lira swam closer to the surface. She could see the world above, filled with colours and laughter.

The birds were singing, and children were playing by the water’s edge. Lira’s heart raced with excitement.
But as she reached the surface, the sun’s rays broke through the water, and Lira felt a warm glow on her skin.
Panic filled her heart. “Oh no! I must go back!” she thought. But it was too late. The sunlight was too strong, and Lira began to feel herself fading.
Just then, a kind-hearted boy named Oliver, who loved to explore the woods, noticed the shimmering light in the water.
He leaned closer, and his eyes widened in surprise when he saw Lira struggling. “Help! Please!” she called out, her voice barely a whisper.
Without thinking, Oliver reached out his hand. “Don’t worry! I’ll help you!” he said.
He quickly splashed some water over Lira, creating a small shadow that shielded her from the sun. Lira felt the cool water wrap around her, and she began to regain her strength.
“Thank you!” Lira exclaimed, her voice filled with gratitude. “You saved me!”
Oliver smiled, his eyes sparkling with wonder. “I didn’t know fairies were real! You’re so beautiful!”
Lira blushed, her cheeks glowing like the sunset. “I’m an Asrai. We live in the water, but we can’t be in the sunlight. It’s too dangerous for us.”
From that day on, Oliver and Lira became the best of friends. Every day, Oliver would visit the lake, and they would share stories and laughter.
He would bring flowers to the water’s edge, and Lira would tell him about the magical world beneath the surface.
As the seasons changed, Oliver learned to be careful with the sun. He would come to the lake early in the morning or late in the afternoon when the light was soft.
Lira taught him about the wonders of the water, and in return, he showed her the beauty of the world above.
Quote of the Day
In the quiet depths of the water, friendship blooms where sunlight cannot reach. So never Loss hope even in the depth of water.
And so, Lira and Oliver’s friendship blossomed, proving that even the most delicate of fairies could find a friend in the most unexpected places.
They spent their days exploring, laughing, and creating memories that would last forever.
And whenever the sun shone brightly, Lira would stay safely in her lake, knowing that her friend would always be there, waiting for her to return to the surface when the light was just right.
And they all lived happily ever after.
