Struggles of Our Life – Let’s Read
Once there lived a wise old man named Grandpa Ravi. Everyone in the village respected him because he always had the best advice for solving problems.
One day, a young boy named Aman came to him. Aman looked very sad and worried.
“Grandpa Ravi,” Aman said, “I don’t understand why life is so hard. Every time I fix one problem, another one comes up. I feel tired and upset all the time.”
Grandpa Ravi smiled kindly and said, “Come with me to the kitchen. I want to show you something.”
In the kitchen, Grandpa Ravi took three things: a potato, an egg, and some tea leaves. He placed three pots of water on the stove and turned on the heat.
When the water start boling, he put the potato in one pot, the egg in the second pot, and the tea leaves in the third pot.
Aman was confused but stayed quiet. After about 15 minutes, Grandpa Ravi turned off the stove and looked at Aman.
“What do you see in the pots?” he asked.
“I see a potato, an egg, and tea,” Aman replied.
Related Moral Stories
Grandpa Ravi asked Aman to touch the potato. Aman touched it and said, “It is soft now.”
Then, Grandpa Ravi asked him to break the egg. Aman cracked it and saw that the inside had become hard.
Finally, Grandpa Ravi told Aman to sip the tea. Aman smiled and said, “The tea tastes good and smells nice!”
Grandpa Ravi looked at Aman and said, “The boiling water is like the problems in life.
The potato went in strong and hard, but the boiling water made it soft and weak. The egg went in fragile and soft, but the boiling water made it strong inside.
The tea leaves, however, did something amazing—they changed the water itself and made it better.”
Aman thought for a moment and asked, “What does this mean, Grandpa?”
“It means,” Grandpa Ravi said, “that life’s struggles can affect us in different ways.
Some people become weak like the potato, some become hard and tough like the egg, but the best people are like tea leaves.
They don’t let problems control them. Instead, they use their struggles to bring out something good, just like the tea leaves changed the water.”
Quote of the Day
Struggles don’t define you; how you transform through them does—be the tea leaves in the boiling water of life.
Aman’s face lit up with understanding. “I want to be like the tea leaves, Grandpa! I will try to make something good out of my problems.”
Grandpa Ravi smiled proudly and said, “That’s the spirit, Aman. Remember, struggles are part of life, but how you handle them shows your true strength.”
Moral of the Story
Problems are like boiling water—they will always be there. What matters is how you deal with them. Be like the tea leaves and use your struggles to grow stronger and make life better.
