Cinderella – Let’s Read
Once upon a time, in a quaint village with only around 2,000 people, there lived a sweet and kind girl named Cinderella. Sadly, she lived with her wicked stepmother and two stepsisters, who treated her terribly.
Cinderella’s stepmother seemed kind at first, but as soon as her father passed away, her true colors showed. She became cold and demanding, treating Cinderella as nothing more than a servant in her own home.
While her stepsisters enjoyed luxurious clothing, feasts, and leisure, Cinderella was left to cook, clean, and tend to the house.

Despite her hardships, Cinderella never lost her gentle spirit or her kindness. She dreamed of a happier life, yet she remained selfless and hardworking, believing that goodness would ultimately prevail.
It was this unwavering kindness and inner strength that eventually led her to a better fate.
The Royal Ball
One day, news arrived in the village: the royal family was throwing a grand ball to celebrate Prince Charming’s 21st birthday.
The whole kingdom was invited, and the palace would host around 500 guests. Many families hoped the Prince would find a bride that night, and Cinderella’s stepsisters were no exception.
They immediately began preparing, buying the finest silks and jewels, spending all their gold coins on their appearance.
“Mother, do you think Cinderella could come with us?” one of the stepsisters sneered, mocking her.
“Certainly not!” the stepmother replied. “She has nothing suitable to wear and no place at a royal gathering.”
So, on the night of the ball, Cinderella was left alone as her stepfamily rode off in their carriage, dressed in all their finery. Tears filled Cinderella’s eyes as she watched them leave. Just then, a warm, gentle light filled the room.
The Fairy Godmother Appears
Cinderella turned around to see a beautiful woman standing there. “Don’t cry, Cinderella,” said the kind stranger. It was her fairy godmother, who had been watching over her since she was a child.
With a gentle wave of her wand, the fairy godmother transformed a simple pumpkin from the garden into a gleaming golden carriage, and six little mice became horses.
Then, with a final flick of her wand, Cinderella’s old dress turned into a magnificent gown of sparkling silver, and on her feet appeared a pair of beautiful glass slippers.
“But remember, my dear,” the fairy godmother warned, “the magic will only last until midnight. You must leave the ball before the clock strikes twelve.”
A Night to Remember
Cinderella arrived at the ball, and everyone stopped to admire her beauty. Prince Charming was captivated by her, as she seemed like no one he had ever met.
They danced together, laughing and talking, as if they were the only two people in the room. Cinderella felt a happiness she had never known before.
Quote of the Day
No matter how dark the night may seem, a little kindness and belief in oneself can lead to the brightest dawn.
But as the clock struck midnight, Cinderella remembered the fairy godmother’s warning. “I want to go!” she said, pulling away from the Prince. She dashed out of the palace, losing one of her glass slippers on the staircase.
Prince Charming chased after her, but she was already gone. All he found was the slipper, shining in the moonlight. Determined to find the girl who wore it, he vowed to search the kingdom until he did.
The Search for Cinderella
The next day, Prince Charming sent his most trusted men to find the mysterious girl from the ball. They carried the slipper through villages and towns, trying it on every young woman they met, but no one’s foot would fit.
Finally, they reached Cinderella’s village. Her stepmother tried to keep her hidden, but Cinderella stepped forward when the Prince’s men asked. As soon as she slipped her foot into the glass shoe, it fit perfectly.
The Prince, who had come along, recognized her at once. His heart swelled with joy, and he knew she was the one he wanted by his side forever.
A New Beginning
Cinderella returned to the palace with the Prince, and they were soon married in a grand ceremony with over 1,000 guests in attendance.
She became known as the “Princess of the People,” for she always remembered her humble roots and worked with the Prince to care for the kingdom.
As for her stepmother and stepsisters, they faced the consequences of their actions and no longer held any power over Cinderella.
She and the Prince ruled together with kindness and compassion, bringing peace and happiness to the kingdom for many years to come.
