The Easter Chick’s Big Day is a sweet bedtime story about a little chick named Charlie, who dreams of delivering colourful eggs for Easter.

Through teamwork, kindness, and a bit of courage, Charlie helps make Easter special for everyone in the meadow.

The Easter Chick’s Big Day – Let’s Read

Once upon a time, in a sunny meadow full of flowers and tall grass, there lived a little yellow chick named Charlie.

Charlie was smaller than the other chicks, but he had a big heart and a big dream. He wanted to help deliver colourful Easter eggs, just like the older animals did every year.

One bright morning, Charlie woke up early. He saw his friends—Penny the bunny, Lila the lamb, and Sam the squirrel—getting ready to hide baskets of painted eggs.

Each egg was decorated with beautiful colours and patterns, waiting to be hidden around the meadow for the animals to find.

Charlie waddled over to Penny and said, “Can I help with the Easter eggs this year? I really want to be part of Easter!”

Penny smiled kindly and said, “Oh, Charlie, it’s a lot of work. Are you sure you’re ready for this big job?”

Charlie stood up tall and nodded. “I may be small, but I can carry my own basket!”

Distributing Easter Eggs

Lila the lamb, who was painting an egg with colorful dots, said, “Let’s give Charlie a small basket. He can deliver eggs to the little animals in the meadow.”

Sam the squirrel agreed. “That’s a great idea! We can use all the help we can get!”

The friends filled a little basket for Charlie. It had bright blue, pink, and yellow eggs. Charlie lifted the basket and, though it was heavy for him, he was so excited that he didn’t mind.

Quote of the Day

Kindness, no matter how small, can brighten the world and make every day feel like a celebration.

Off he went across the meadow, chirping happily as he walked.

Charlie carefully placed eggs in soft grass, near tiny homes where baby animals lived. He gave colourful eggs to little mice, baby frogs, and even a few tiny birds.

Each time he delivered an egg, the little animals squeaked and chirped with happiness.

After a while, Charlie noticed a small robin sitting alone on a tree branch, looking sad. He walked over and asked, “Why do you look so sad, little robin?”

The robin sighed and said, “All my friends have colorful eggs, but I don’t have one. I’m too small to join the egg hunt.”

Charlie felt sorry for the Robin. He checked his basket and find he had only one egg left. It was the most beautiful one—a bright yellow egg with tiny blue dots.

Without a second thought, Charlie handed the egg to the robin and said, “Here, this is for you!”

An Egg Gives To Robin

The robin’s face lit up with joy. “Thank you, Charlie! You made my Easter so happy!”

Charlie’s heart filled with happiness. As he walked back, he heard cheers from the hilltop. Penny, Lila, and Sam were waving and clapping their paws and hooves. “You did it, Charlie!” they called. “You made Easter special for everyone!”

Charlie ran back to his friends, and they all hugged him. From that day on, Charlie was known as the Easter Chick, the little chick who made Easter extra bright and happy for all the animals in the meadow.
