This curse was started on her sixteenth birthday. The curse was, when the princess would prick her finger on a spinning wheel she will fall into deep sleep.

She was only to be awakened by true love’s kiss.

For the protection of their daughter, the King and Queen removed every spinning wheel from the kingdom and ordered guards to watch over her.

They hoped to shield her from the curse, but as Aurora grew older, she became curious about the world beyond the castle walls.
