Benny the Bear and the Blanket of Dreams – Let’s Read
It was long, long, long ago in a small and not very noisy forest where Benny – a small bear lived.
Benny was a bear with brown colour bear’s skin that was rather fluffy, and large eyes that were also bright.
By this time he had all the playtime any child could want and this included climbing trees and rolling in the leaves.
But every night, he looked forward to bedtime because he had a very special blanket: Blanket of Dreams.
Benny’s Blanket of Dreams was different from other blankets to a certain extent.
He had sown it with white silver and gold threads that would reflect light at night, especially the moonlight.

But that was not even the end – the blanket was enchanted!
Every time Benny used his eyes to look in the direction of the blanket and shut them, he was transported to dreamland.
Last night, Benny wrapped the blanket and closed his eyes real tight.
Then he felt the blanket being lifted off the ground and himself beginning to be lifted floatingly.
He gently closed his eyes and slept while stars embraced him and he was off to a land of the awesome.
In the dreamland, Benny saw fluffy trees which were cotton candies, and rivers that appeared to be made of sparkling orange juice.
They could even visualize themselves with animals dancing at night and flowers bending as they walk under their paws.
Next, Benny meets a wise old owl who is named Oliver sitting on a tree branch. “Hi Benny,” said Oliver, “This is Dreamland.”
“Today, there’s a special gift planned for tonight.”
What is more, there is no simple way to get there from here and that is the reason why only brave bears can find it.”
Benny smiled big and went along the lights till he got to a giant castle that was built out of pillows and blankets.
Quote of the Day
Dreams are adventures waiting behind closed eyes; let them carry you to worlds beyond.
He entered a room with a small, brightly polished chest. And though he opened it, fearing to find a tiny, glowing feather.
“This is the Feather of Sweet Dreams,” Oliver said. “Keep it with you, Benny.
This will also make you have dreams as you are feeling brave to face each new day that you are scared.”
Benny closed his hand around the feather making him warm and secure.
Little by little, this blanket started to cradle him back through the stars without a parachute that took him and lowered him gently down, down, down to his bed at home.
Every morning, Benny got up to find a little feather by his side on the pillow, close to his face.
But he realized that it would always point him towards Dreamland, the great and daring exploits, his blanket.
So it was that readers followed Benny the Bear from that night promised the Blanket of Dreams and the magic feather.
And whenever he closed his eyes that is the beauty of it, he could go on a whole new adventure.
And every night when the boy was getting into bed and settled in, Benny smiled and said to himself it was only a dream to Dreamland.
The end.
