Gloria the Gentle Gorilla” is a heartwarming jungle tale about a kind but clumsy gorilla who discovers that bravery and kindness matter more than perfection.

When a tiny monkey needs help, Gloria steps up and proves that even the gentlest hearts can be heroes.

Gloria the Gentle Gorilla – Let’s Read

In a bright and beautiful jungle, full of tall green trees and colorful flowers, lived a big gorilla named Gloria.

She had soft brown fur, big, kind eyes, and the warmest smile in the forest. Gloria loved helping others. She shared bananas, picked flowers for her friends, and gave big, friendly hugs.

But Gloria had one small problem…

Gloria Was a Little Clumsy

No matter how hard she tried, Gloria always seemed to trip, drop, or bump into things.

When she tried to carry a basket of fruit, she’d tumble and the fruit would roll away.

When she danced at parties, she’d accidentally knock over decorations.

When she gave hugs, her friends sometimes fell backward with a surprised “Ouch!”

The other animals didn’t laugh at her, but they started to avoid her.
Gloria felt lonely and sad.
She sat by herself and whispered, “Why can’t I do anything right?”

A Little Monkey in Big Trouble

One sunny afternoon, the animals heard a loud squeak coming from the tallest tree in the jungle.

“Help! Help!” cried a tiny monkey named Coco.
He had climbed too high and was now stuck, too scared to come down.

The other animals gathered at the bottom of the tree.
“We can’t reach him!” said the elephant.
“I’m too small,” said the squirrel.
“I’m too scared,” said the zebra.

Everyone looked worried.

Gloria stepped forward.
“I’ll try,” she said softly.

The animals looked surprised.
“You? But what if you fall?” asked the parrot.
Gloria smiled. “Maybe I’ll fall… but maybe I won’t.”

She started climbing slowly and carefully.
She held onto the branches gently. Her big hands were strong, and she stayed calm.

Step by step, Gloria reached the top.

“Hold on, Coco!” she said kindly.

Coco smiled through his tears. Gloria gently lifted him onto her back and climbed down carefully.

When they reached the ground, the animals cheered!
“Yay Gloria!”
“You saved Coco!”
“You’re amazing!”

Gloria blushed.
“I just wanted to help,” she said.

The animals looked at each other.
“We were wrong,” said the elephant.
“You’re not just helpful — you’re brave and gentle,” said the zebra.
“And you give the best hugs!” laughed Coco.

Gloria’s Big Lesson

From that day on, Gloria felt proud of who she was.
She still tripped sometimes. She still spilled fruit once in a while.
But her friends didn’t mind.

Because Gloria had a big heart.
She was always kind.
And she never gave up.
