Once upon a time, there was a brave little girl, everyone called her The Little Red Robin Hood who lived in a village at the edge of a grand forest.

She loved wearing her favourite red hooded cloak, which had been sewn for her by her grandmother. Everyone in the village fondly called her Little Red Robin Hood because of it.

One sunny morning, Robin’s mother packed a basket full of fresh bread, cheese, and berries for her to deliver to her grandmother, who lived deep in the forest.

Before she left, her mother warned her, “Stay on the path, Robin, and be careful. The woods can be tricky, and some creatures aren’t as friendly as they seem.”

Robin nodded with a smile, excited for the adventure ahead. The forest was full of tall, whispering trees and the sound of chirping birds. As Robin skipped along the path, she suddenly heard a voice from the bushes.

“Where are you off to, little one?” asked a cunning wolf, stepping out from behind a tree.

Robin, who was both brave and sharp, looked the wolf in the eye and replied, “I’m off to visit my grandmother. She’s feeling a bit under the weather.”

The wolf smiled, but Robin noticed that his eyes gleamed in a way that made her uneasy. “Why don’t you pick some flowers for her along the way? I’m sure she’d love that,” he suggested.

Robin paused. It was a tempting idea, but she remembered her mother’s advice to stay on the path. “No, thank you.

My grandmother is waiting for me,” Robin said firmly, and with that, she continued walking down the path, leaving the wolf behind.

But the wolf was not so easily deterred. He took a shortcut through the woods and arrived at Grandmother’s cottage long before Robin.

With a quick knock at the door, the wolf disguised his voice. “It’s me, Robin!”

Thinking it was her granddaughter, the kind grandmother opened the door, only to be surprised by the sly wolf.

However, this grandmother was no ordinary old lady. She had been an adventurer in her younger days and knew how to deal with tricky situations.

“Why don’t you take a seat while I make us some tea?” the grandmother said calmly, offering the wolf a chair.

The wolf, thinking he had the upper hand, settled down, eyeing the basket of goodies on the table. But as soon as he sat, the grandmother reached into a drawer and pulled out a wooden cane she had once used on her adventures.

WHACK!

The wolf yelped and bolted for the door just as Robin arrived. “What happened, Grandma?” Robin asked, seeing the wolf sprinting away.

“Just an old trickster trying to steal our tea,” her grandmother said with a grin.

Robin and her grandmother sat down together, enjoying the fresh bread and berries Robin had brought.

They laughed, sharing stories from the past, and from then on, Robin never forgot the importance of staying on the path—and that her grandmother was always full of surprises.

As for the wolf? He never returned to that part of the forest again.

And so, Little Red Robin Hood continued to visit her grandmother, always wary of the creatures she met along the way but never afraid, for she knew she could face any challenge with courage and wisdom.
