When Geppetto finished the puppet, he named it Pinocchio. That night, while he was asleep, a magical fairy visited his workshop.

She waved her wand over the puppet and brought it to life. “You can become a real boy if you show that you are brave, truthful, and kind,” she said before disappearing.

The next morning, Geppetto woke up and was amazed to see Pinocchio talking and moving. “I finally have a son!” Geppetto cried happily.
