Once upon a time, a girl named Elara lived in a small village surrounded by golden fields. She was bright and cheerful, but there was one thing she hated—spinning yarn.

No matter how much her mother begged or scolded her, Elara always found an excuse to slip away.

She preferred daydreaming by the river, playing with the village children, or listening to stories rather than sitting at the spinning wheel.

Her mother, however, was growing more and more frustrated. In their village, spinning was an important skill, and every girl was expected to know it well.

One day, after yet another argument, Elara’s mother made a terrible mistake.

In her frustration, she boasted to a royal messenger that her daughter could spin the finest thread in the entire kingdom—finer than even the Queen’s weavers!

Word quickly reached the Queen, who was known for her love of fine fabrics. She was intrigued and sent for Elara immediately.

Before Elara could protest, royal guards arrived at her home and took her to the castle.

The Queen led Elara to a tall spinning tower, its windows so high that no one could escape. Inside, there was nothing but a huge pile of rough wool and an old spinning wheel.

The Queen smiled, but her voice was firm. “You have three days to spin all of this into the finest thread,” she said. “If you succeed, you will be rewarded beyond your wildest dreams. But if you fail, you will never leave this tower again.

Elara’s heart pounded as the heavy door closed behind her. She was all alone. She had never spun a single thread in her life—how could she possibly complete such an impossible task?

The Three Mysterious Spinners

As night fell, Elara sat in the spinning tower, staring at the huge pile of wool. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t spin even a single thread.

Tears filled her eyes. “What am I going to do?” she whispered.

Just then, there was a soft knock on the door. Elara jumped in surprise. Who could it be? Slowly, the door creaked open, and to her astonishment, three old women stepped inside.

Each of them looked very unusual.

  • The first woman had an enormous thumb, thick and strong.
  • The second had a huge foot, almost twice the size of a normal one.
  • The third had a long, drooping lower lip that nearly reached her chin.

Elara stared at them in shock, but the women simply smiled. “We know why you are here,” the first woman said. “And we can help you.”

Elara’s eyes widened. “Really? You can spin all this wool into a fine thread?”

The second woman nodded. “Oh, yes. But we don’t work for free.

The third woman leaned in closer. “In return, you must promise us one thing—when you marry the Prince, you must invite us to the royal palace and introduce us as your family.

Elara didn’t think twice. “Of course! I promise,” she said eagerly.

The three women nodded and got to work. With amazing speed, their fingers moved over the spinning wheel.

The first woman’s giant thumb pulled and twisted the wool, making it soft and smooth.

The second woman’s huge foot kept the spinning wheel turning without stopping.

And the third woman’s long lip moistened the thread, making it finer than silk.

By sunrise, every bit of wool had been spun into the finest thread the Queen had ever seen. Elara sighed in relief.

But deep down, she wondered—what would happen when she had to keep her promise?

The Magical Spinning

As soon as Elara made her promise, the three mysterious women got to work. The first woman, with her huge thumb, expertly pulled and twisted the rough wool, stretching and softening it with ease.

The second woman, with her oversized foot, pushed the spinning wheel so steadily that it never slowed down. The third woman, with her long lower lip, moistened the delicate strands, making them finer than the softest silk.

Elara could hardly believe her eyes. The spinning wheel whirred through the night as the three women worked tirelessly.

Not once did they stop to rest, and by the time the first rays of sunlight peeked through the tower window, every last bit of wool had been transformed into the most beautiful thread ever seen.

It shimmered like silver under the morning light.

When the Queen arrived, she was stunned. She ran her fingers over the fine thread, her eyes widening in admiration. “This is truly a masterpiece!” she exclaimed. “Even the royal weavers cannot produce such perfection.

The Queen was so delighted that she made a grand decision—Elara was to marry the Prince! “With such skill, you are worthy of being a princess,” she declared.

The news spread quickly, and soon, the entire kingdom was buzzing with excitement over the upcoming royal wedding.

Elara was overwhelmed with joy but also nervous. She had succeeded in spinning the thread, but now she had to keep her promise to the three mysterious women.

Would the Prince and the court accept them? And what would happen when they saw her strange new “family” at the royal palace?

Elara’s life changed forever after the wedding. She never had to spin another thread, all thanks to her clever deal with the three spinners.

With the Prince’s love and the Queen’s favor, she lived a life of comfort and happiness in the royal palace.

Though she had started as a lazy girl who disliked spinning, fate had led her to a surprising victory.

By keeping her promise and showing kindness to the three spinners, she not only escaped her difficult situation but also secured a wonderful future for herself.

And so, Elara lived happily ever after—free from spinning, free from worry, and forever grateful for the unexpected twist of fate that changed her life!
